Forest With Sunrays

Welcome

My name is Sarah and I warmly welcome you to Wylde Wanders - a place for those who enjoy the outdoors, gentle walks, wildlife spotting, journalling and taking time out.

Our days can be so busy and it's so important to put the brakes on and get outdoors. I have personally reached a point (perhaps because I turned 50 this year) where I've wanted to start living life on my own terms.

I've always had a bit of an entrepreneurial, creative streak and I've enjoyed creating challenges and projects in the past - my mind just won't sit still! So, in 2026, I'm making Wylde Wanders a lifestyle choice and if you feel you're in a similar place, I hope it inspires you to become a Wylde Wanderer too!

I feel very fortunate to live in the South West of England, it's been my home for over 20 years now. I am extremely grateful and I know how lucky both me and my family are to have such wonderful landscapes, as well as a stunning coastline, around us.

For these reasons, I invite you to read my blog and I hope it inspires you to enjoy some Wylde Wanders of your own.

With love from the heart of Devon,

Sarah

One of my favourite places to take a walk is along the South West Coast Path. The dramatic coastline is absolutely incredible and I find myself in awe at almost every turn in the path.

Being so close to (and often high above) the wild Atlantic sea, it makes you feel small and insignificant. Your worries dissolve and taking in that salty sea air just feels so healthy - I feel positively charged up for days afterwards!

Here's Botallack, near St Just in Cornwall - on a wild, stormy day!
